by now the project covers about 60 regions
of the Russian Federation;
the network of volunteers (over 180 participants)
involved in the active work with adopted territories has been set up;
the circle of adopted territories (about 500)
has been outlined;
preliminary investigation and estimation of the status of numerous protected
areas have been held, and in some cases - the real help performed;
youth ecological organizations were afforded possibility to do something
useful and practical for the sake of wildlife protection in the framework
of all-nation program;
project participants have obtained useful experience in field work, become
aware of problems most protected areas face, and started to feel the necessity
of taking certain measures to protect their native environment;
methodological basis has been set up: considerable experience of work
with wide range of protected territories has been accumulated and a number
of field manuals have been published
